JOB DUTIES

  • Reports on periodic variances and their causes, focusing on spending variances
  • Reports on breakeven points by products
  • Assists Senior Cost Accountant in making estimates of new and proposed product costs
  • Assists Senior Cost Accountant in comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products
  • Assists Senior Cost Accountant in Planning, Studying and collecting data to determine costs of business activity, such as raw material purchases, inventory and labor
  • Prepares actual versus budget analysis, analyzes actual manufacturing costs and prepares periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs
  • Uses and applies ABC (Activity Based Costing) method
  • Assists Senior Cost Accountant in preparing budgets for all departments and operation
  • Able to prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports

REQUIREMENTS

Functional

  • ACCA F5 or CIMA P1 preferable
  • Computer literacy, MS Excel in particular (familiarity with ERP systems, such as SAP or any similar)
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures
  • Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail
  • Integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information
